Swapnakoodu is an initiative by Smt. Ramani Nair, a retired school teacher, for taking care of the
aged and homeless. It is housed in a rented building at Trikkannapuram, a rural area in the outskirts
of Trivandrum. There were 16 elderly ladies there. In addition, 6 elderly men were lodged at another
place, due to shortage of space. The institution is also taking care of 6 orphaned children, who were
kept at a Convent in Alleppey. YSDK Trivandrum brightened up the Onam festival of the inmates of
Swapnakoodu by arranging an Onam Sadya (feast) on 3rd September, 2018. On this occasion,
new clothes were distributed to the inmates and we donated a wall mounted fan for their use.
Malayalam editions of Autobiography of a Yogi and Spiritual Diary were gifted by us to the home.
Several of our members attended the Onam Sadya and helped in serving the Onam feast to the inmates.
